Aim of Social Action Ministry
Social Action is one of the best and most important ways of fulfilling churchs'
mission. Evangelisation will not be complete and fruitful without social
commitment. The church has to address constantly the challenges of social
problems and ensure a process of integral and sustainable development.
The diocese of Neyyattinkara from its inception, has been fervent in fulfilling
her social ministry. In order to fulfil her mission to the society, the diocese
has formed Neyyattinkara Integral Development Society (NIDS), a nongovernmental
organization, registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary
Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act of 1955.
We serve the society irrespective of caste, creed and relegion.

Our Mission: "empowerment of the marginalized
communities towards sustainable and participatory development process".
